No Reason to Cry Over Spilt Milk

Ben is gone, yes I'm for one am dissapointed. Jamont coming back is looking slim, yes I would like for him come back. While it keeps the boards buzzing, lets move on!! We have two returning starters Barry and Jarvis. We have the best interior defender in country in the last15 years to build our team around. Ravern Johnson is coming out of this thing smelling like a rose. I thought by the 09-10 season, our offense would run through Ravern, but the learning curve just got cut by a season. I believe he will be our top scorer next season. I think Osby and Kodi will play the four and Elgin and Brian can spell Jarvis. If we can get a steady point guard and Ravern plays like we saw flashes off last season, we have the post in place. Folks can blame Rick if they want, but remember, Rick will be there longer than 4 years, so he is our coach and we have to trust his decision making while he is our head coach. Some will like it and some will not. Well, it will make for a long summer of tossing around lineups. So for awhile, no news is good news. Go Dawgs!!

i think jamont is gone too. he doesnt like going to school i can tell. what about barry playing the point. he played alot when jamont was out and he is FAST. but he is a shooter i think. i wonder how good Bost is gonna be. i think Osby is gonna be a second coming of Charles. i think we'll be alright but its still a long time till we'll find out and lets see if our youngns can grow and be men.

Dee Bost is for real.

Ben's leaving had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Coach Stansbury or any other coaches in a negative way ( Ben said that).

Ben's leaving had EVERYTHING to do with the personality of Ben Hansbrough, and with the attitude of the Hansbrough family.

I would like to see the Dogs sign a good guard, preferably high school, but JUCO if necessary.

Anyone have any knowledge of who some prospects might be?

One more good perimeter player and the team will be OK next season, I believe.

Memo the the Ben Hansbroughs, Scotty Hopsons and Chris Garretts of this World.

You deserve something Better? You can't become you're best at Mississippi State?

Where did you become so important that it became convenient to throw not only coaching staffs but an entire University under the bus.

What seperates YOU from that kid patrolling the streets of Basra under the threat of sniper's bullets or the threat of a suicide bomber?

That's where you DESERVE to be.

The idea of COMMITTMENT is what separates you from that soldier.

When your days of stardom are over, the CHARACTER you have FAILED to develop will serve you well as you annoy people from office parties to funeral home visitations with you bloated sense of self worth.

Goodbye, Good riddance and let's find more kids that are committed to WE instead of ME.

Antiquawn Beckham.....One of the players Mississippi State has been looking at is Antiquawn Beckham(shooting guard/point guard/small forward),listed at 6-5/180,190(New Hampton N. H. Prep School). This kid is very talented. Very good... ball handler, in the open court, taking it to the basket, finishing, ect. Very good passer. He throws electrifying passes. Solid all around player. His outside shot is coming along very well. According to reports he has the look of a big time point guard, and is known for his playmaking ability(electrifying passes). Can play small forward(including defense and rebounding at the 3 spot). Good overall defender and rebounder. Very talented athelete. Big upside.

Look for Bailey to start with Varnado next season. B Johnson and Ramero will sub for Bailey and Varnado.

Ramero will get mins but doubt seriously he will start. Dawgs need Bailey's size (and intensity) to offset the lighter Varnado. Both Bailey and Varnado have tremendous upside.

If Gordon leaves.. look for Bost to get lots of mins also with Ravern and Stewart on the wings.

Dude,

We are going to kick ass next year.

We will never hear about Ben Hansbrough, because he will be buried by real talent. He is critical-game shot-missing talent.

6' 6" rising Sophmore (JUCO) from Tyler/Tomball (Texas) in for an official visit this weekend. Signing day is 4/16. The name is Jimmy Butler. Can play 1,2 and 3. Teams to beat are Marquette, Iowa State and UConn.

We have his last visit. This would be a BIG TIME get.
