It's a Little Low.

MSU Basketball is low on the sports screen right now, so let go with the obvious but always interesting question. What is the lineup with Jamont gone? (SEC Precictions)Personally, I say Varnado at the 5, Osby at the 4, Ravern at the 3, Barry at the 2, and Antwain running the point, yes thats my prediction for early summer what do you think? (I think Bost is a 2). We'll see!! Go Dawgs, I miss Ben already, just kidding, eyes forward focused on the 07-08 season.

Antiquawn Beckham....Big time skills. Very capable.

My prediction:
5- Varnado
4- B Johnson
3- R Johnson or Turner
2- Stewart
1- Bost

Bailey backs up Varnado
Osby backs up BJ with Augustus trying to earn minutes
Bost and Stewart interchange at 1 and 2 with Turner, Beckham, and Benock providing depth.

I think that the keys to next year will be the play of Bost and Beckham being able to back him. This will allow Stewart to stay at the wing. However I'm concerned with both being freshmen (although they have had a year in prep school).

I think Osby pushes B Johnson but BJ starts due to experience and steadiness.

Antiquawn Beckham is for real. Has the makings of a super star point guard. Also...He's very good at posting up, midrange, around the basket, rebounds, defends, blocks shots, ect. Scouts project Beckham as an immediate impact player with big time playmaking potential. He's this and more. Outside shooting, free throw shooting, ect. have been seen as big issues with him in the past. He' been improving. Beckham played so well in the post area, including reboundig and defense, that he was also being seen/projected as a small forward and undersized power forward. His sensational playmaking has been a big part of his game, and together with an improving perimeter shot, ect. has helped him to arrive on the scene as a big key to the Missisippi State's basketball team.

Coach Cunningham has said that Bost has a chance to come in and start at PG from the begining.

Dee Bost has big time talent, and is set to be a serious candidate at the point and shooting guard. Both....Bost and Beckham will be in the mix at point guard, and other spots. Osby will bring it as well.
