MSU 78 LA Monroe 49
Starting to look like we could be a pretty nice team from behind the arc. You have to like Kodi having a somewhat of a breakout game. Jarvis 9 blocks (all in 1st half), 11 rebounds. Dee, 15 pts, 7 assists and 2 to's. You have to like the defense we are playing, our offense will only get better as this team starts to gel. I know its only two games in, but starting to get a good feeling about Bost and Chris Warren impact he could make this season. We took it to them on the boards in the second half. 42 % from beyond the arc, not too shabby. It will be interesting to see how the stats settle out when we solidify a starting five. Not too many complaints from this one. Looking forward to Wednesday, Go Dogs!!!!!

Once again we will be theclass of the west. Ho hum, thanks Stans.
I think having Barry Stewart back at “2” has really helped. I hope that Twany Beckham can come in and give solid backup minutes to Bost as I also think that the 2 or 3 is Turner’s best position.

You're right having Phil the "human turnover" Turner at point is not a good idea.
What's the status of Twany? I hope he's able to get back on the court soon. We need him. Thanks.
I am so excited about this team. so young and so talented. I dont know of any other team who has the bigs like we do in the sec. The three games ive been to this year im saying it right now, dee bost will make everyone forget about jamont gordon.
jamont who?
Sizing up our competition...
Tennessee looked pretty tough tonight. Brian Williams is going to be a beast. I think Elgin and Brian Johnson can match up with him. They'll be hard to beat this year.
North Carolina has been manhandling a not very impressive KY. They look to be worse than they were last year. We'll see what they do in the 2nd half.
Anxious to see what happens this week with the Dogs. We've got potential to be good. Hope we keep the hot hand beyond the arc. Going to need some points in the paint to go along with it though.
The team is very talented and continuing to improve.
Jamont Who? Are you serious? We will miss Jamont terribly this year as nobody on our team is able to beat the defender off the dribble on a consistent basis.
Evan, Jamont was a good player but very one sided. Sure he could take the ball to the rack, but how many times could have passed the ball to someone else for an easy basket, I'll answer that , a lot. I personaly will take this team any day of the week over a one man show.
Last year's team went 12-4 in league play and we were 3 points away from beating a loaded Memphis team. Jamont brought toughness, defense, and rebounding to the team every night. He was not just a one sided player.
Granted I think we have a good team this year but I would love to have Jamont back this year. I have never understood the disdain that some people have for him. He was one of the tops in assists in the SEC and our best perimeter defender. With him back I think we would have been predicted to win the sec west in the preseason.

I don't think there is really any dislike for Jamont, but he decided to leave not the other way around. I sincerely hope the best for him in Latvia. I Just like the composition of this young Bulldog team and have high hopes for them as well. See you there tonight. Don't be late.....
Anyway, I hope this team learns some offense soon. If they do, we can beat some folks this year. Hopefully we'll progress well and have a shot at it. And I won't be late for the game tonight. I'm usually not.
It was a good game, the defensive pressure was as good as I have seen in a while at the Hump. I also like the two teams we are playing, one finesse one physical.
The young pups look good, anxious to see Beckham play on Saturday. Be there or be square. Now thats old school.
I hope he's able to get back on the court soon. We need him.
