Who is the Most Explosive Leaper in the Nation?

Well, so far according to Rivals it is Scotty Hopson:

Should be some video available. Who are some great leapers from our past Bulldog teams, Derrick Zimmerman and Michael Gholar come to mind.
Side note: AL PG Ronald Steele will miss the upcoming season with a medical redshirt after knee surgery. That means the Steele brothers will get to play together one year. That narrows to competition to MSU and AR in the west.
Matthew 17:20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

I think even without Steele UA is right with Auburn as #3 in the west; it won't be easy at all winning @ Alabama. Right now most AK fans think the west is easily theirs now, but we'll certainly have a say in that.

I wouldn't be quick to dismiss Bama. It's doubtful that Steele will recover enough to reach his potential anyway. They have two FR guards that are going to be very good. Rico Pickett and Scenario Hillman. Both seem to be the type of players that can make a quick transition to college.

So, while Bama would be a lot better with a healthy Steele, they aren't exactly depending on Hollinger and Mikhail Torrence like they did last year. They have a new chemistry situation that will bear watching.

We certainly ought to handle Bama this year, with our without Steele. But, they do have some other talent that gave us trouble last year. They had a few youngsters themselves that ought to be much improved this year. Riley, the JUCO transfer was an amazing shooter who didn't really move into a starting role until later. He'll be even more deadly this year.

They'll be tough as usual. Although, I saw on SEC Hoops homepage that they lost by 11 or 12 to a Canadian team which was 5 times in a National Champs.

Bama games will be hard fought, tough, close games again this year. Hopefully we'll come out on the winning end of some of the close ones this year.

The only reason we will have a problem with Bama is that the refs will allow them to get away with murder in tuscaloser as usual. Hendrix will be allowed to push his way to rebounds and more physical play on defense.

I've seen video of Derozen that is much different than that and with out a doubt he is one of the most explosive leapers in this class, and I'm sure the best of the three. That video is nothing compared to what I've seen, the video that I witness showed him as one of the more powerful dunkers not only in this class but any, very athletic. He looks like he is just loafing in this video.
Scottys got ball handling and a great first step, I wouldn't consider him a great leaper but definitely good enough to make him an elite player with his size and skills.

Steele had one of the best transitions from high school to college for the all important position of point guard, so if the freshman for Bama are that good I wouldn't forsee them being as good.

Why am I doing this when we need to enjoy this awesome year coming up. Next Year: PG..Ben, SG..Scotty, C..Jarvis, PF..Kodi, SF..Ravern The Hump will be rockin for some time!
Coming off the bench..Stewart, Turner, Bost, Osby amd for some much needed beef probably the center from columbus. WOW!
After a couple NCs we will probably get the Favors kid from atlanta and Cousins guy from alabama and, and, and am I getting ahead of myself. Thanks Stans!

Hopson was a huge committment, and I'll feel 100% better if he sings in November.

When is the signing dates?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it is 2nd or 3rd week of November.

was anyone else not all that impressed with the video clips they provided?
ive seen those already, and it really doesnt highlight Hopson's hops.

i was thinking they would be having some sort of ridiculous compilation of high flyin dunks and whatnot.

oh well, im sure we will get our own highlight reel of film from him once he is in maroon and white.

Chauncey Robinson wasn't too bad either.

Chauncey Robinson really competed well against the big name players in the league. Very solid player for Mississippi State.
