Bully Basketball Scouting Report - SE LA

The Lions are out of the Southland Conference and lost 4 starters off a team that finished 17-15, 1st in the eastern division of the Southland Conference. Kevyn Green is the lone returning starter and he averaged 8.5 ppg and 3.5 rpg. Patrick Sullivan was a key reserve at 6'9" 205 and beyond that they are thin in the post. Watch for the freshmen and the minutes they play. The Lions lost to Bama by 2 points in overtime on Saturday. They are 5-2 on the young season and are being paced by Kevyn Green with 15.9 pts a game. I don't think this will by any means be a pushover and I'm still waiting for the light to come on for this team. Its will come on eventually, there is too much talent on the bench and floor not to. Go Dawgs!!!!!

they have beaten: Alcorn State, Jackson State, Millsaps, Southern University, and DALLAS CHRISTIAN!!

--Millsaps, as in D3 Millsaps.
--Dallas Christian as in the powerhouse from the NCCAA's(National Christian College Athletic Association) Division 2 grouping.
--Alcorn State has yet to win a game this season(0-6).
--Southern University has won 1 game(1-5).
--Jackson State has also won just 1 game(1-7).

these are the teams they have beaten. the teams that are actually D1 are a combined 2-18!! then toss in a D3 team and an NCCAA team...whatever the heck

they also played LSU and Bama. they took Bama down to the wire, which shows that SELA has some game and can compete against quality competition.
so far this season, theyve played 1 solid team(Bama), 1 pretty good team(LSU) 3 pitiful teams(Alcorn, Southern, Jax State), a D3 team, and some church league team from the Dallas area.

i really hope we are able to establish ourselves in the paint, build up a solid lead, and allow the bench players to get a few minutes of PT during meaningful parts of the game.

Anything less than a blowout should be unacceptable.

I don't care whether it is a blow out as long as we get our freshmen involved. Agree with mstateglfr's
lament concerning Varnado and the Freshmen in his previous post.

AGREE!!!!
We must get our bench involved!
We need these guys already, but we will especially need them when SEC schedule arrives. Hopefully today we get to see alot of Augustus, Ravern, Turner, and Bailey. They need some minutes - Quality Minutes.
