Were you pleased or disappointed with the effort on Saturday. Are we improving or are we still in a rut offensively. Its your turn to call the plays. How do you view our performance on Saturday.
Matthew 9:2 Some men brought to him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven."

I didn't get to follow the game due to computer problems but the box score looked like the standard bill of fare. The assist/ TO ratio was improved but still a good ways from "good basketball" acceptability.
Also, the FR are no where near the contributors that we were expecting. Especially Turner and Augustus. When I've seen them play they look pretty ragged, timid, and unsure.
The whole idea in recruiting is that you find players that are very gifted in thier peer group and hope that they can handle the adjustments to college life. I guess we watch and wait. We definitely need several of them to step up and give us 10 minutes of consistent play. ZD
The freshmen need continued playing time. More playing time.
I'm going to the Lafayette game in Jackson, and I know that Charles Rhodes can score points in the Mississippi Coliseum- that has already been proven in the past 2 years-so what I really want to see in that game is the Freshmen playing at least 15 minutes each!
During the summer and pre-season, based on how the freshmen were playing in scrimmages, I felt they might be able to contribute this year. In fact, I really thought Augustus might break into the starting line up later in this season. But from watching since the season has started, R. Johnson, Augustus and to some extent, Turner have been a disappointment to me. Hope they improve sooner rather than later.
