A 32-point performance at Tates Creek on Friday night clearly showed why Scotty Hopson of University Heights is considered one of the nation's better prospects. But his college choice remains obscured.
"I'm still committed to Mississippi State," he said after the game.
When asked how firm that commitment is given that he did not sign with the Bulldogs during the weeklong November period, Hopson said, "It's firm. It's firm enough."

Some of the truth seems to be coming out now. The updates with Scotty will be few and far between from now own, but I will keep everyone updated until he has officially signed somewhere. - Arliss

Lot's of rumors cirulating that Alex Legion may be leaving Kentucky. Gillespie acknowledged meeting with the highly touted FR guard and his mother.
This after Gillespie watched Hopson play last week. ZD
Reportedly Legion is leaving because his mother is very religious ( maybe him, too, I don't know) and she (lex too, I guess) thinks that Gillispie's language and behavior is inappropriate and, at times, quite abusive to his players.
Legion's leaving doesn't (reportedly) haave to do with lack of ability. He is very talented, just doesn't like Gillispie.
Kentucky is still overstocked at guard and wing, however, with Porter, Meeks,Jasper,R. Harris,A. Stewart on the team next year being joined by two more wing players, and Darius Miller and DeAndre Liggins!
with Legion out, Hopson heading to UK is a little more easy to see.
dont like it, but it is easier to understand.
On one level, maybe.
But on the other level, do you think Jeanette Hopson wants Scotty playing for a coach that is so abusive to his players that a good kid like Alex Legion leaves the program?
I wouldn't want my son playing for a coach who felt that the only way he could win was by abusing his players!
