Thanks everyone for voting, it seems that the votes were very close between two choices. It does seem though that we do need some improvements made. I talked to one of the associate AD's last week and he said that no major contributions relating to a new practice facility have been made with the current administration. No contributions toward the basketball program can be guaranteed to go 100% to the basketball program. Once there is a new admin. in place there should be some contributions made and make upgrades possible for practice facilities soon after. One more thing, what's up with the one vote for no upgrades, must be Jack voting since the Hump is still smoker friendly. Love Ya Jack, keep up the good work.
Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done

if they increase seating capacity, lets hope it goes up and not further out.
the Hump isnt the biggest place, but its designed great. there isnt a bad view in the house and the fans are close to the action. if they add seats outward, that would take away from what makes the Hump so special.

I'm still a bit fuzzy about the announcement that LT made last year. I just remember that it was surreal and that whole moment seemed like a manifactured distraction.
We have enough seats, what would be attractive is to add revenue from luxury suites. That would involve a redesign that would remove at least 1k from the overall capacity. It would be more cost effective to plan a totally new building ( a 20 year plan ) and have the suites involved in that future plan.
For now, we obviously need practice facilities and ammenities that fans will never see. As disgusting as it might be to pamper athletes at the college level, it's the way the game is being played now. Recruits want to see resources that are available only to them.
It would be nice if a former player ( Dampier ) would put his name on the new practice facility. It should be first class, incorporating the best of what our competition has already built. ZD
Furthermore, a great practice facility would be a great asset in our camps and clinics. Remember that Osby and Hopson came through our camps as youngsters. ZD
I agree...I love the Hump how it is. With the fans almost literally right on top of the action, it's an intimidating place to play.
