Riley Benock Although he played point guard in high school, he’ll playing shooting guard on this team. He has a great outside shot and can also take it to the hole. He needs to continue developing his shot. for the college level. He is a very unselfish player that would rather pass the ball of as to take the shot. This will change and as he gets more aggressive, he’ll take more shots. He needs a lot of strength and conditioning training. Has a good basketball IQ. And speaking of IQ’s….He is a 4.0 student that made 30+ on his ACT. His greatest attribute to this team will end up being his shooting.

I think Riley is a good candidate for redshirt, he has the height and frame to build a SEC type body in due time. Redshirt this year, come off the bench freshman and sophomore and by the time he is an upperclassman he can be a difference maker on this team. - Arliss

Solid young player, good shooter, has potential.
if some of the comments written about him are true, he is a great shooter, VERY GOOD athlete, and has solid court vision for passing.
apparently he needs to add some size onto his frame, but it looks like he has to tools to contribute for us sometime down the road.
heck, if Edmonson was able to play in the SEC, this kid HAS to be able to contribute.

Don't know anything about him except for what you've posted. With all the talent coming in though, you might be right about the red-shirt possiblity. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
He's more of a GPA booster than anything else.
Someone saw Benock and Ravern Johnson shooting together in Sanderson the other day. Said they both were exceptional, but noted that Riley's mechanics were just a thing of beauty.
They are saying that after redshirting and getting stronger he can be as good or better than Ben. I think we got ourselves a steal here.
Riley Benock already has good basketball talent, and at Mississippi State, he will continue to develop as a player. He's only a freshman.
As a former classmate of Riley's, I have great confidence in him... He will add some muscle to that long 6'4" frame of his, and in due time will become a real contributer to his team. I'm looking for big things out of him in the future and I wish him all the luck...
