Lafayette Preveiw

The first thing I had to do is google Lafayette College to figure out just where they are located. They hail from Easton Pennsylvania. They were founded in 1826 and have an enrollment of 2381. The Leopards hail from the Patriot Conference and finished 8th in the conference with a record of 9-21. They return all five starters, they shoot the 3 well, but it will take much more than that to compete with the Bulldogs. They play #13 Pitt a good first half. The injury must be pretty bad if Charles won't play in front of the home crowd. I have to be honest I like the shakeup it has caused and could be what we need heading into SEC. Here is a little more info:

So, that only leaves one question, which player for Lafayette will have a career high, I'm going to say Matt Betley. Just a guess.

Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.

Lafayette has played a few good teams to surprisingly close finishes.

As of Jan 1, Lafayette RPI 172. Dawgs are 151.

I like the shake-up Rhodes injury has caused as well and since he can't run on the ankle today... my guess is he won't be available for LSU next Wed or Georgia next Sat.

Looking forward to seeing the Dawgs offense now! We need B Johnson/Bailey to step up big as back-up to Varnado.

He officially will not be available for the Jackson game, per the Clarion Ledger.

just something interesting.. lafayette college and another eastern pennsylvania foe (lehigh) are involved in the most played football rivalry ever with 141 meetings since 1884.

go dawgs!

--haha, hell yeah Arliss!
this is turning out to be quite the theme for our team...allowing an opposing player to have the game of his life.
its happened 4 or 5 times so far this season already.
i am really suprised that Rhodes isnt playing in his senior season down in Jackson. his ankle must really be messed up.

anyone know how he hurt it??

According to what I've read, he twisted it in practice last Thursday.

I read that he hurt it dunking in practice. Rhodes has got to be my favorite dunker of all time. It's not that his dunks are all really spectacular, more because you can see and hear a lot of emotion on each one and he never lays it up if a dunk is possible.

It'll be interesting to see if the team can keep up its impressive play in Jackson.

Rhodes was not able to run on the ankle this week. Doctors told him to quit doing what re-hab he was doing and let it rest.

If he can't run on it, he may be out all next week also.

Yeah, sprained ankles linger.
