The Quest for the Record

Jarvis has a real shot at the blocks record for a single game and the season. From now own we'll be keeping up with his progress and his quest for the record. If you look at the record and the average that is needed it is within reach. So keep any eye on progress game by game for the record.

“I just block shots and rebound. That is what I do. There is no pressure at all.” -Jarvis Varnado AKA- Mr. Swat

Appologies. Interesting notes...

MSU now ranks 33rd on Ken Pomeroy's Ratings, predicting a 20-10, 11-5 finish for MSU with a tie for the Western Division title with Tennessee winning the SEC at 13-3.

Jarvis Varnado now ranks atop the NCAA in both blocks per game and total blocks.

We are currently ranked 58th in the Sagarin Rankings, with a predictor of 37th.

Don't know how they came up with those rankings. As it stands right now, I think we were better last year. I think we've got potential to be better, but, our outside shooting must improve. What happened to Barry? I hope Bennock and Ravern step it up in Hansbrough's absence (if he is unable to go on Tuesday).

I was one who said we'd not miss the Delks. Boy, was I wrong!

Our outside shooting needs to improve, no doubt.
