Ole Miss is THE most important game of next 3. It's a home game and a West opponent. This is Dawgs first major test since losing to Clemson and the Miami(s). First game to define Dawgs season!

Plus.. new rankings are out Monday. Dawgs will be ranked when we beat Ole Miss.

Hope Rhodes was kidding about "coming out of the bag" and "his game Saturday". If he attempts to dribble out of the lane or takes another 3-pointer, I think I will be after his ankle!

My question to all is this, this the first game we will start with a big lineup. Will it mess with our rythm? We seemed to be doing well with a smaller lineup so far. What do you think?

The big line-up is my biggest fear. I'm hoping that Dawgs will be able to switch during the game. I think we play better defense with 4-guard because we're quicker.

I think the key is Rhodes. If he plays well.. then we are better with big line-up.. BUT.. if Rhodes is off in outer-space (like he can do) then we're in trouble. He made several mental mistakes against Bama.. not coming forward to get entry pass (turnover), trying to dribble rebound out of lane (2-3 turnovers) and 3-point attempt. Entry pass TO went to Bennock but it was Rhodes fault. His dribble TOs were not counted because Statisticians said possesion had not been established but you could easily see that if Rhodes held the ball (like Varnado) then Dawgs would have possesion.

So.. guess bottom line is.. Rhodes scares me more than anyone else on the team.

I 100% agree with the statement about charles. he needs to play good. but my biggest thing is FREE THROWS. it is crazy i sit right behind the basket and watch alot of basketball. i have never watched a team which misses more free throws.

Our big guys better bring their hard hats because I don't think they have seen a team that can rebound as well as Ole Miss. If we can make it a half court game I like our odds at home.

DAWGS 66 Ole Miss 60.

Paul's 3 (unknown) keys to the game:

1. Stansbury: If we start spinning our wheels like we have all year with the big line-up, will Stans switch back small? Stans is a very stubborn coach when it comes to things like this.
2. Barry Stewart: If Barry can't pick up his defense, the slashing guards of Old miss are going to get Jarvis in foul trouble.
3. NOT SO UNKNOWN, MAKE SOME FLIPPIN FREE THROWS!!!

Hope to see all of you there.

It makes sense why Stans wants the big line-up because he doesn't want Rhodes or Varnado on the bench. That's too much talent to not be on the floor. We should be a better team with both on the floor at same time... it it works.

Stans said on Tuesday he was worried about our team playing big. He knows they've been playing well with 4-guard... but would you start Rhodes and sit Varnado? Or start Varnado and sit Rhodes?

Hopefully we'll be able to switch during the game. I think we play better defense with 4-guard.

Did we not play with 4 guards the last two games? Our defense still held those opponents to an avg of 60 pts!

The key to this game will be the best player on the court… Jamont Gordon.

Varnado, Rhodes, B Johnson and Bailey will be banging for rebounds but Gordon is the one athlete that can out-jump, out-run, out-quick, out-shoot and run over all other players on the floor.

JG on defense will shut down Chris Warren.

The Dawgs will have enough scoring from other players to create the difference.

The two road games prior to Missouri, were our highest scoring games. Charles dominated, hitting 20 our ot 40 shots, and hitting his free throws.

I hope does "come out of the bag" and "bring his game." If so, we'll win by 10+.

Keys: Gordon continuing to shoot well, and play under control. Varnado staying out of foul trouble. Guards continuing the great perimeter D as of late. Good minutes from the bench.

Ben with mono. Out for 4-6 weeks. OUCH! That's not good. I hope the poor guy can get healthy.

Sorry I used "the lord's name in vane". Geez.

I said - this isn't good news at all, but it will provide Turner and Riley with crucial playing time and hopefully Ben will be back for an NCAA bid.

and you did it again. ever thought about what "geez" is short for?

As far as bball goes, we will be Ok, Riley and Ravern will get more time and maybe Kodi will see why he needs to bring it in practice... his number could be next the way our ankles are rollin'.

If you're offended by "geez", you need a tighter grip on reality. That's ridiculous.
