Kyle Veazy of the Clarion Ledger spoke with Coach and got some good info on the upcoming schedule:
http://www.clarionledger.com/misc/Blogs/kyleveazey/kyleveazeyblog.html The eight team tournament in Anaheim, Calif. will be during turkey days. The tournament will include SIU, USC, UC-Irvine, UAB, Tulane, Miami of Ohio and San Diego. It will be telivised by ESPN.

Notice that Southern Cal is in the touranment, will be a good chance for Jamont to go up against O. J. Mayo.
Looks like we have a pretty good “name” schedule from BCS conferences this year especially with Missouri, Miami, Clemson and Southern Cal. It seems like Coach Stansbury is going for the RPI schedule again as opposed to taking it easy. I like the way he schedules games to showcase the players with NBA potential against similar players: J Gordon v OJ Mayo, C Rhodes v Clemson’s frontline, M Austin v David West of Xavier and L Roberts v Arizona’s frontline.

Rick needs to keep scheduling teams like this every year.. Look what Bruce Pearl has done at Tennessee with scheduling teams like ohio state which in turn gives them a very high RPI and puts them in the Tournament ahead of us
I hope we are in the bracket opposite USC since we are playing in California.
