Agent 001 Reports - Reseating the Hump for 07-08

I sat down with one of the Asst. Athletic Directors in the Bulldog Club the first part of the week and discussed the reseating of the Hump for the up coming BB season. Any mistakes in this report are mine and not the BDC. So what are some of the pertinent points that came out of this meeting. They are not only reseating this year, but will do so again next year, and will continue to do so until they can formulate a viable plan to do it for multiple years. We have all heard about the new software they are using for ticket distribution. Right now, they are still using the old software for football ticket sales, but all basketball tickets have been entered with the new software. Consequently, this year’s tickets will be bar coded. As soon as the new software is fully operational, we will be able to use it for ticket exchange. Letters were scheduled to be mailed out to all BDC members and season tickets holders on Wednesday, October 3 that will give you your identification and pin number so you can go to the mstateathletic web site and manage your account. I was also told that the seating would handled again this year, the same as last year. You will be given the day and time for your ranking to choose your seats. They plan to post the Hump seating map on the web site and update it every few days so that you can see where you might be seated when it’s your time to choose. The new seating selection date is not set at this time, but will be sometime the middle of October. The Legacy section and the Faculty Staff sections will remain the same as last year and they will not reseat this year. -001

Is there any way an average (to below average) person can get tickets to see the Dogs in action?

Actually, I'll be at the South Alabama game and maybe the Florida game (if I can score some tickets there).

Are tickets to away games hard to come by? I know that those will be hard to come by if Florida and Mississippi State are battling it out in March in a game that could have SEC Overall Championship implications. So, probably need to buy them sooner rather than later.

I wouldn't know, but I am planning to take to the road this year. I planning on attending the SEC tournmanet and I am going to try to make the away games at LSU and UM.

Went to MSU ticket office site to try and find out info about season basketball tickets. Nothing available there. I guess the new online ticket site is not up and running. How do you obtain tickets?

I always wondered why the student section is opposite the players bench. Seems they would get them fired up better if they were right behind them, and intimidate the other team the same way. Or maybe thats the very reason it is the way it is.

If your not a Bulldog Club member you didn't get to order season tickets. The demand for tickets has got so high that there is a chance some BC members might no get season tickets this seaso

Thanks Arliss, I guess that explains why no order forms were sent out and nothing is available online. GO DAWGS!

The way the Mississippi State basketball program is flourishing might make the following statement obsolete, but 5 years ago when I had a lot of free time,I went to a lot of road SEC games and I almost never had trouble getting in one way or another, getting a ticket beforehand from someone I knew,or buying one at the away ticket office, or from a fan of the other school.By using some creative thinking i never failed to get in an away game, but, of course, that was then, this is now.

You won't be able to buy road game tickets from the MSU ticket office. I went to the Florida game in Gainesville 2 years ago with a Gator buddy that had tickets. It was a mid-week game. I noticed folks buying and selling tickets outside the O'Connell center just like you would see at the Hump. You might be able to order individual game tickets from the UF ticket office. In that game, he told me it didn't become a sellout until 2-3 days before the game. Of course, UF didn't realize they were national championship bound later that season. Tickets are probably a lot harder to get now.
