New Look Court

The court has as new look, what do you think?
I like the more defined maroon color, but "The Hump" logo is gone. Mississippi State is spelled on the court and not the sidelines. SEC has moved to the free throw line. I do like the color though. - Arliss

ive always like the paint actually being a paint color(maroon).

and 'The Hump' logo was kinda cool too. i never thought about it till i just saw what it looks like w/o the logo, and i like it w/ the logo more.
spelling the school out looks nice.

one day, we may just have the opportunity to name the court. kinda like Sutton at OSU or coach K at Duke.
but first im sure we would have to actually retire a few numbers, something that ive never understood why there is resistence to. God forbid MSU recognize the talent its had and the success its achieved because of that talent.

i digress. the court looks great! only 8 days left!

How about putting a Bulldog on there somewhere, a real one not like our mascot.

a real bulldog is gonna get in the way of the game. and it could get hurt if a ball hits it or if a player steps on a paw! :)

Has anyone hit up Damp for donations for a practice facility? He has a huge contract.

I love the new look! Could this be the begining of the new look to our whole basketball program? (i.e., practice facility, hump facelift, a new Final Four Banner)

Sorry, but I don't like it. Something about proportions just having the miss state on top. If it was written on the bottom too it would look better. Maybe its just the angle of that image but it doesn't look right. These things stick out more to me because of my line of work.

he has stated that if his number were retired, he would be more inclined to financially help us out.
have you seen what 'Melo donated to Syracuse?!?!
alum in the league(s) is something that we are just ignoring. i know we dont have many, but we clearly arent using those that we have.

I don't care if it is pink... as long as we win!

But, I like it though.

I wonder if this had anything to do with moving the 3 pt line back?

I've always wanted the paint painted, if that makes sense. It'd give a little more color to the court. Maroon, of course.

They shouldn't have removed the Hump logo. And I don't like Mississippi State on the court. No reason to jumble it all up. For instance, KU's HUGE Jayhawk, and A&M's massive logo just look tacky.

It looks OK, but bring back the Hump logo and paint the paint. I'll let them leave Mississippi State on the court if they'll do that. Meet in the middle.

the line moves back for the '08-'09 season.
this season is played at the regular distance where the top of the key touches the free throw arc.

Maybe it's just me, but I really like the oversized logos like you see with Kansas and Ga Tech.. the bee.

The Hump logo has to be included. When a nickname like that sticks so well you have to continue promoting it.

Anybody remember the Jeff Malone court with #24 and the SEC team banners radiating from the tip circle ? We've come a long way baby..

I can barely remember the tartan surface. That stuff and astro turf... yowsers. Does it ever biodegrade ???
