Well that took long enough, I personally had my doubts about Elgin up to about a month ago. I think he'll be a player for MSU and will leave his mark on the MSU BB program. Let's see, Scotty's commitment is solid, Elgin, Kodi in, once Scotty signs my Christmas wish list will be complete.

below is copied comment from another entry. this is just great to hear. he is going to be able to be used immediately as a relief player. we dont have much depth at the 4 and 5 spots, but plenty of talent, so hopefully we will go back to a 3G 2F lineup and Bailey can see some PT.

i think that we REALLY need to find a power forward that will be able to replace Rhodes' departure next year.
Osby certainly doesnt look the part, and from what he has said, he doesnt plan on playing on the block.
so next year down low we will have Brian Johnson and Jarvis Varnado starting. Bailey will be backing them up. Augustus certainly doesnt seem to be a banger down low, and if he can really shoot from the perimeter as well as has been reported, i dont want his talents wasted down low. like i said, Osby has stated that he doesnt want to play low either, but he seems to have the body for it, so maybe he will be the other primary backup to the 4 and 5 positions.
regardless, we will not have too much depth in the paint next season.
its kinda nice to be able to talk about our needs in '08!!

msstateglfr, the guy to replace Rhodes will likely be Latavious Williams of Starkville. A recent subscription article mentioned that we are following him closer than anyone else.
He's likely a 2009 player now but he's the real deal. I've seen film on him and I think he's going to be better than Charles in college.
Just google him.

This was the first place that informed me of Elgin being cleared for admission, which tells me that you did a great job.Thank you for that!

I have high hopes for Bailey. When you bring in a young big man with a frame like his that is already a solid rebounder into a school with one of the best rebounding coaches in the game... you have a recipie for success.
yeah, ive heard a lot about Latavious. a homegrown kid, and i casually tracked his progress this summer during AAU ball.
i keep hearing that he has some grades issues...i assume why that is your reason for saying he is an 09 recruit...
