Re: the game tonight vs. Clemson.

A lack of mental sharpness.

I thought Clemson was more prepared for the game and mentally sharper, almost seemed to want it more than we idid, atl least in the early going.

Trying to do too much offensively, too may offensive fouls, poor free throw shooting, some bad decisions resulting in too many unforced turnovers, a lack of that typical "Bulldog Chemistry" (not unusual this early in the season).

The Dogs did not play well, but still only lost by 2 points.

I thought Ben Hansbrough just didn't look as good as he did last year.Currently depth might be a problem;I thought we had 6 players,Gordon,Rhodes,Varnado,Stewart,B. Johnson and Turner.

Bring the other guys along,of course, but make sure those 6 are in shape, because they are gong to play a lot of minutes this season.

Basically they need to look at this film and they need a lot of hard practice.Didn't do so well against the press.Just need a lot of "repetition", (the heart of learning).

Free throws made the difference between a W and an L.

Didn't get to see the first half. Brian Johnson was impressive in the last few minutes.

I thought we looked pretty decent in the 2nd half for only the 2nd game of the year against a much more experienced team (more depth, more practice time, etc).

We are going to be all right, but, we are going to have to hit free throws.

I thought we looked to be in mid-season form.

Mid-season of last year.

free throws kill us once again.
and turnovers.
