You can read them all and hear the same old story. We for sure were not ready for Clemson this early in the season. You can see why Brian Johnson was so hyped coming out of high school. They were calling some touchy fouls. If you can take any positive from this game it is we out rebounded arguably the best front court we may see all season. We can't pout too long we play tomorrow. Go Dawgs!!

Ben Hasbrough's play was very disappointing. Intentional foul was inexcusable. Totally turned the game from a possible win to an absolute loss.

Ben's foul looked worse when looking at it from the camera under the basket than it did when looking at it from the trailing camera.

From the "view from behind" it looked like he was trying to swat the ball.

From the front camera it looked to me as if he were trying to steady the guy that he just wacked.

Nevertheless, it was an underclassman foul and a game changing performance.

But, so where the missed free throws and charges...

True

Yes dumb foul, yes missed free throws but at least THREE MISSED DUNKS greatly influenced the outcome more.

Hopefully we will relax and make those point blank gimmees.

That makes 4-6 missed dunks by Sir Charles this year. The bread, yeah. In his eyes only!!!

Very dissapointing loss. It will be interesting to watch Stansbury develop this team. Our guards worry me a little and appear not ready for prime time(especially when they try to defend). This better change or it's the NIT again.

Good, solid, 1 shot 1 rebound team defense has been missing for 2 seasons. Will this year be any different or will we let teams with big front lines gang rape us again(see Arkansas SECT)?

Mississippi State really made plays/played hard, and Clemson held on for the win. Good win for Clemson. Both teams are outstanding. Gordon is for real.

Brian Johnson really looked impressive.

Whoever made the comments about Arkansas. That's what I was thinking about when Clemson was grabbing 1-2 offensive rebounds on so many trips.

We have to acknowledge that weakness and work on it. There are small physical teams that rebound well because they play smart and make it a priority. We're not exactly small with the 4/5 rotation but we mitigate our size by standing flat footed and showing very little anticipation.

When you don't clear out and protect the defensive glass you leave the door open for second chance points or even worse, foul situations where the opponent has a 3-point play opportunity.

The Arkansas SECT game was textbook for what our rebounding problem looks like at it's worst. We're better than that but a low energy night on the road could get us blistered. ZD

I'll repeat what I heard from Western Kentucky friend. This loss cost us Scotty Hopson.
