Interesting to note...
www.kenpom.com - one of, if not the, most respected RPI sites on the web runs a Pomeroy Ratings system based upon efficiency statistics. State is ranked ninth in the country, as our offense is 87th and our defense is 4th.
I know it's early, but that's not bad.
Also statistically, MSU ranks third in the nation in FG% defense currently, first in the nation in turnover %, and first in the nation in % of posessions ending in steals.
I'll keep you guys updated as these stats mature and become more relevant.
Also would like to remind everyone about my MSU website. It lists a constant update on MSU basketball news, current SEC standings for all SEC schools, current ranking nationally, and current statistical ranking for MSU in all of the major categories in the SEC. It also has our schedule and the results of each game.
