A few player comments...

Stewart - Seems like he's trying to drive a lot to the basket, a good thing. The shot's not there and he's not getting the good looks on the perimeter that others are. He'll be alright.

Gordon - Man-o-war. He's a load.

Varnado - Can't handle physical play without getting into foul trouble but he's clearly improving and playing hard consistently. He's capable of putting up impressive numbers all around, on most nights. Also capable of getting into foul trouble and riding bench on certain nights.

Benock - He's a little tentative at times but check his assist/ TO ratio. Very similar to Ben and Barry last year. He's also more than capable shooting the ball. The Clemson game was an abberation.

Turner - Just not clicking right now. Scares me with his ball-handling. He will get there, and he MUST get there because he's the one player that can take up some of Slater's niche.

Bailey - I really want to see more of the guy. He's all hustle and Coach knows he's picking up fast. I want to see him come off the bench anytime we have a poor rebounding sequence. His freshman role should be to rebound like crazy.

Augustus - Robotic, unsure, rigged... a long way from being a good basketball player at this level unless it's just a severe case of nerves. Definitely not a 3 though. We should make him play on the blocks almost exclusively.

Ravern - A lot more fluid and agressive than Kodi. Not as far from contributing as people think.

Big trip this week. Busy week for the staff as they may get a verdict on how hard they have to recruit over the winter. Anybody get the feeling a certain situation is gonna be either or ?

Ravern is coming along slowly but surely. Mississippi State can use him on the wing/wings.

What situation in life ISN'T "either/or"?
